A cypress alley leads you to eight hundred acres of majestic hill country into ‘Il Gallo Nero’ estate, the private Chianti Classico estate near Siena. Nine centuries were restored for your recreation in Nature, Art, Fashion and Italian ‘Dolce Vita’.
The heart of Tuscany, in the rolling Tuscan hills not far from the mythic southern Chianti Classico, Siena’s hill country, are home to the 411 hectares fenced private ‘Il Gallo Nero’ estate, one of the largest private landholdings. This is the green heart of Italy, a land of rolling hills, vineyards, olive groves and woods of oak and chestnut, where very little has changed.
Il Gallo Nero’s sixteen single vineyards cover about one fourth of the estate – 96 hectares – at 400-600 meters above sea level, in the most desirable equilibrium with woods, olive groves and farmland. Vanishing heritage-clones, as well as classic contemporaries and newly acclimatized grapes are grown here – in a density between 5.000 and 7.850 vines per hectare. Chianti Classico (the best of the Chiantis), is probably the most famous Italian wine there is.
Scattered around this unspoilt landscape are a few farmhouses that seem as ancient as the hills. To date a dozen or so, including farmhouses and apartments, have been beautifully restored for clients to create private houses, featuring an array of modern amenities along with private guest quarters tailored to individual tastes in a style and quality of finish that meets the highest international standards. Each home is unique and has been created and furnished by the owners.
Integral to ‘Il Gallo Nero’ estate is a unique combination of world class service and facilities, privacy, security and nature at it's most tranquil. The 5* concierge service available to all owners through the Estate Management Company includes personal drivers, daily maid service, food delivery and cooking services.
